Just a quick post. dup 0.6.3.Beta 2 has a good few updates/bug fixes. File options in the Search pages now work. Database structure changed again to accommodate the updates. Verified working on DSM 5 Beta as well.
It’s a slow process but getting there! Please feel free to use the built in feedback form if your having any issues and I’ll try to reply when I get time.

With V0.6.3 beta2 when selecting the folder you can not go back more than /volume1/web
so impossible to select any files.

Make sure you set the php open_basedir to none and restart your webserver just to make sure the change takes effect.
Note for dup to be able to read/move/delete the files it must also have the correct permissions!

Yup, you can manually add all the directory’s dup will access.

If you add / to the end of the string it will limit it to just that directory and not the directory tree so be carefull, you will find that not setting open_basedir to none will be a pain in the neck if you have files scattered all over the place that you want dup to access.

When trying to install this on DSM 5.1, I get the “This package does not contain a digital signature” when going through the manual install in Package Manager. It’s the first time I try to install a third party package… anything I’m missing?

i am looking for an easy to install dub check (and DELETE !) programm for my syno NAS DSM 5.2-5644 Update 5.
I found some photos of the menues – comparing two subdirectories and automaticaly delete the files in one of the two directories.
Now I wanted to install it on my Syno NAS.
I did´nt find a Howto – or a step by step (for beginners – and Win-Users).
And the last post was elder than a year.
